Introduced in August 2007, the 21-megapixel EOS-1Ds Mark III is the professional workhorse camera for all shooting situations. With many of the same features as the EOS-1D Mark III, the EOS-1Ds Mark III combines the highest resolution available in a 35mm format camera, with a 5fps shooting speed to ensure it isn’t just confined to the studio. These features make it equally suitable for fashion portrait, wildlife, wedding and sports photography.

The EOS-1D Mark III is an action and social documentary photographer’s dream. With a 10-megapixel resolution, the files are big enough for most users and the 10 frames-per-second shooting speed makes capturing the decisive moment just that little bit easier. The Dual DIGIC III processor handles the data quickly enough to allow 110 frames to be captured in a single burst when set to Large JPEG settings. At 10 frames-per-second, that’s an entire 100m race from start to finish!
